The ACTION Study is the first nationwide US study to investigate the barriers to obesity management. It identified multiple barriers to weight management for people living with obesity.2

From the ACTION Study: People with obesity engage in several serious weight-loss attempts, but only a few are able to maintain the achieved weight loss. Only 10% of people with obesity were able to maintain the weight loss for more than a year.
